Using a radio in your vehicle

Our vehicle radios are stand-alone satellite radios. They play through your vehicle's stereo using one of these connections, depending on the product:

• Bluetooth – available on the Roady BT in equipped vehicles
• Aux input – a 3.5 mm cable from the radio to your stereo's aux input (the Roady BT includes the cable)
• FM – the radio sends audio to a frequency you tune your car stereo to

Before ordering, check which of these your vehicle supports. If your vehicle has no Bluetooth or aux input, FM output is usually the option to use. FM reception quality can vary by location, so choose a frequency with no local station.

Roady BT

The Roady BT is a complete, self-contained radio. It is not a dock-and-play radio, so it does not use the dock kits or home kits sold here.

Onyx EZR

The Onyx EZR is a dock-and-play radio. It works when it is placed in a compatible dock. The Onyx EZR with Vehicle Kit includes the vehicle dock, mounts, power adapter and antenna, so it is ready to use in your vehicle. The radio-only listing does not include a dock.

Using a radio at home

The DH4 Dock & Play Home Kit lets you move a compatible dock-and-play radio from another location to your home or office with a single subscription. It works with any stereo system or powered speakers that have audio input jacks, and it uses a 3.5 mm (1/8 in) female audio connector.

The manufacturer lists these dock-and-play radios as compatible with the DH4:

• SiriusXM: Tour, Onyx Plus, Edge
• XM: Onyx, Onyx EZ, Onyx EZR, XpressRCi, XpressRC, XpressR
• Sirius: Sportster 5, Starmate 8, 5, 4 and 3, Stratus 7, 6 and 5, Stratus

A radio is not included with the DH4. If your radio is not listed above, check with the manufacturer or contact us before ordering.

Portable Speaker Dock

The Portable Speaker Dock is a speaker system for a compatible dock-and-play radio, for use at home, in the office or outdoors. It can run from an AC outlet or from batteries (8 D-cell batteries, sold separately). A radio is not included.

Compatibility depends on your radio model. The manufacturer's product specialists have named the SiriusXM Tour, Onyx Plus and Onyx EZR as working with this dock. If you have a different or older radio, please check with the manufacturer or contact us before ordering.

Subscription and signal

• A SiriusXM subscription is required to listen and is sold separately by SiriusXM. We do not sell or manage subscriptions. Satellite coverage and programming are provided by SiriusXM and may change.
• Each radio has its own Radio ID and needs a SiriusXM subscription to play channels.
• Satellite reception needs an antenna with a clear view of the sky. Signal can be weaker in garages, tunnels, dense cities and covered areas.
• Channel availability and coverage are determined by SiriusXM, not by us.

Check before you order

1. Decide where you will listen: vehicle, home, or on the go.
2. Open the product page and read What's in the box. Note anything marked as sold separately.
3. For a vehicle, confirm your stereo has Bluetooth, an aux input or can be tuned to an FM frequency.
4. For a dock or home kit, confirm your radio model is on the manufacturer's compatibility list above.
5. Make sure you have, or will buy, a SiriusXM subscription from SiriusXM.
