Setup Guide
Last updated: October 6, 2026
General steps for getting your radio working: unpack, connect, power on and activate.
Follow the quick-start guide in your box first. Steps differ by model. This page gives general guidance only and does not replace the manufacturer's instructions.
Already have a SiriusXM subscription? We can help you activate your radio. See Activating your radio.
Before you begin
- Check the box against the What's in the box list on your product page. Contact us within 7 days of delivery if anything is missing or damaged.
- Choose how you will listen: in a vehicle, at home through a stereo or powered speakers, or with a speaker dock. See the Compatibility Guide if you are unsure that your products work together.
- You need a SiriusXM subscription, sold separately by SiriusXM, to hear channels.
- Note your order number from the confirmation page. It is your proof of purchase for returns and warranty.
Setup steps
- Unpack and inspect. Remove all packaging and check the radio, cables, mounts and antenna for damage.
- Place the antenna. Satellite radio needs a clear view of the sky. In a vehicle, place the antenna as the manual describes, usually on the roof, a dashboard with a clear windshield view, or as the included mount allows. At home, use a window or outdoor spot facing the sky.
- Mount or place the radio. For vehicle use, fit the mounts that came with your product where the display is easy to see and does not block your view of the road or any airbag.
- Connect the audio. Choose one option your product supports:
- Bluetooth (where available): pair the radio with your vehicle's Bluetooth audio.
- Aux cable: connect the radio's audio output to your stereo's aux input.
- FM: set the radio's FM output to an unused frequency, then tune your car stereo to that same frequency.
- Home kit: connect the audio cable from the home dock to your stereo's or powered speakers' input.
- Connect power. Use the power adapter included with your product. For a vehicle, plug it into the power outlet and route the cable so it does not interfere with driving controls.
- Power on and wait. The radio may take a few minutes to find the satellite signal. Keep the antenna in place and, if you are in a vehicle, park outside rather than in a garage.
- Note your Radio ID. You need it to activate. Tune to channel 0, or look in the radio's menu or settings, or on the product label and packaging. Keep it handy for activation.
- Activate your radio. We can help if you already have a SiriusXM subscription. Then enjoy your channels.
Activating your radio
Already have a SiriusXM subscription? We can help you activate your radio. Call us at +1 (888) 293-5559 (Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Eastern Time) or email support@caraudiovibe.com, and we will walk you through it.
To make activation quick, have these ready:
- Your radio turned on, with the antenna facing the sky (and, in a vehicle, parked outside rather than in a garage).
- Your Radio ID (see step 7 above).
- Your SiriusXM account details or subscription information.
- Your order number, if you want us to look up your order.
Activation help is for customers who already have a SiriusXM subscription. A subscription is sold separately by SiriusXM, and we do not sell or manage subscriptions. For plans, pricing, billing or cancellations, visit siriusxm.com/contact-us.
Safety
- Do not operate the radio while driving where this is unsafe or prohibited. Set it up and change settings while parked, and follow local laws.
- Mount the display and route cables so they do not block your view, the airbags, or any vehicle controls.
- Use only the cables and power adapter supplied or approved by the manufacturer. Third-party accessories may affect performance and are not covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
- Do not disassemble or modify the radio, and keep it away from water and extreme heat.
- If you are unsure about installing anything in your vehicle, ask a qualified installer.
Troubleshooting
No signal or "antenna" message
Move the antenna so it has a clear view of the sky, away from tall buildings, garages and tunnels. Check that the antenna cable is fully connected.
No sound
Check the volume on both the radio and your stereo, and that your stereo is on the correct source (aux, Bluetooth or the FM frequency you chose). Check cable connections.
Static on FM
Choose a different, unused FM frequency on the radio and on your car stereo. Reception varies by location.
Bluetooth will not connect
Remove the radio from your vehicle's paired devices list, turn Bluetooth off and on, then pair again following the quick-start guide.
Radio will not turn on
Check the power adapter, the outlet and the cable connections. Try a different outlet.
Channels will not play after activation
Wait a few minutes and keep the radio on with a clear signal. If it still does not play, contact us and we will help you check the activation, or contact SiriusXM about your subscription.
If you think your product is defective, see Warranty Information and our Return & Refund Policy.
